Dr. Deresa Marie Scott, earned her doctorate in Educational Leadership, specializing in complex trauma. Among many things, Dr. Scott is recognized for her leadership experience in social-emotional wellness, Restorative Justice, EDIB, and her commitment to advocating for safe spaces for all.

Dr. Scott works with K-12 schools and the private sector and remains committed to improving outcomes through professional opportunities that are responsive frameworks aimed at developing cultural relevance, engagement, and coaching for equity to change practices in urban communities systematically. Deresa has a unique way of disaggregating data to help leaders gain agency, while systematically (re) discovering reflective practices in a compassionate, inspiring, and passionate manner. Deresa uses her voice to change and, at times, challenge the narrative/bias of marginalized people and challenge others to interrupt inequalities that detrimentally affect our communities.

Transformational Coaching

Coaching sessions are designed for leaders responsible for reframing the  climate and culture by utilizing EDIB protocols to cultivate visible organizational change, demonstrating ROI on improved team morale and a sense of belonging for all stakeholders. The measurable goal is to increase resilience, strengthen reflective practices, and build the clients skill set to transform their organizational models through equity, restorative practices, emotional intelligence, and cultural relevance to create sustainable change and improvement.

Maximizing Performance & Project Management

Services are customized to meet clients needs by evaluating and assessing existing structures and- EDIB initiatives using a critical and comprehensive checklist that identifies internal challenges in three key pillars: talent acquisition, performance management, and organizational learning and development.

MTSS

At INSPIRA, we believe that choosing a non-traditional path should not mean receiving a non-traditional level of support. By integrating MTSS, we are moving from being a resource provider to being an active partner in every student’s success story. We are creating a system where data serves the student, support empowers the parent, and "adequate progress" is a standard we meet with confidence and clarity. Together, we are ensuring that every child within the INSPIRA community has the foundation they need to thrive, regardless of where their classroom is located. To bridge this gap, INSPIRA is evolving. We are implementing a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS)—a proven, data-driven framework designed to catch students before they fall. This isn't about bringing the "institutional" feel of a classroom into the home; it is about empowering homeschool parents with the same high-level diagnostic tools and evidence-based strategies used by top educational professionals. Imagine a journey where every student’s path is illuminated by data. Through universal screening, we provide parents with a "health check" for their child’s academic progress three times a year. When a student struggles, we don’t leave the parent to search the internet for solutions. Instead, through Tier 2 and Tier 3 supports, we provide a curated library of evidence-based interventions and the direct guidance of INSPIRA facilitators.

Every conversation is a dialogue on equity and racial interconnectedness.  By bridging and acknowledging that gaps exist, we can (re)align our vision and mission to reframe the narrative as a choice of consciousness, inclusion, and belonging. Every conversation fosters equity, prioritizes empathy, and demands an honest dialogue that is bold, challenging, brave, and compassionate.

Each session led by the consultant(s) provides professional development through a workshop model designed with resources for building depth of knowledge with ancillary resources for continued client growth. Workshops are created for in-person or synchronous online learning TBD by the client. All workshops are tailored to fit the needs of participants and are delivered by  incorporating diverse pedagogical learning styles. This can include didactic delivery; interactive activities; individual, small, and large group processing; social media; problem-solving; and case scenarios. Workshop models are an introduction to intersectional awareness, with participants engaging in discussions about gender, race, orientation, age, class, ability, etc. Participants will also explore what it means to hold multiple identities and how numerous identities inform relationships, decision-making, and resource access.
